S2 Week 3 - Because of Winn-Dixie

 Dear parents,

Welcome back to school! I hope you and your families had a restful break and are excited to begin a new school year.

Here are a few important notes to help us start the year smoothly:

  • Today, we had our first two classes with students. Students received their materials, including the Reading Street textbook, the Reader’s and Writer’s Notebook (RWN), and Bubble Books. All materials were labeled in class.

Week 11: Good-Bye, 382 Shin Dang Dong

Here is what we completed today: Went over Week 11 vocabulary #11-19 We would like to inform grade 4 students and parents that beginning Week 11, Friday, November 14, our weekly quizzes and tests will return to being held on Fridays. This adjustment comes as the swimming program has now concluded, allowing us to resume our regular academic schedule. The first quiz under this updated schedule will take place on Friday, November 14, and will cover the vocabulary and spelling words from “Good-Bye, 382 Shin Dang Dong.” Students are encouraged to review the vocabulary, and spelling concepts from the story located in the communication book on page 59 in preparation.
